Pedro Perfeito da Silva

I am a political economist interested in the challenges that financial globalization introduces for democratic regimes. As a doctoral student in Political Science at the Central European University, I have assessed the implications of left-wing parties for external financial liberalization in Latin America. Relatedly, I have contributed to projects that discuss the political economy of development in Brazil and the role of social democracy in unpopular reforms across Europe.

My research has been published in Review of International Political Economy, Government and Opposition, Development and Change, and Third World Quarterly.
